Influencer marketing in PH has matured from "send free product, hope for posts" to a real performance channel — IF you do it right.

Most brands waste 60%+ of their influencer budget on creators who don't move the needle. Here's how to avoid that.

TL;DR

  • Tier-based rates: Nano (1K–10K) < Micro (10K–100K) < Mid (100K–500K) < Macro (500K+).
  • Best ROI tier: Micro (10K–100K) for most brands.
  • Pricing: ₱2K–₱100K per post depending on tier and platform.
  • Best platforms: Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube.
  • Don't pay only with product: Filipinos see through this.
  • Tier-by-tier rates (2026 PH)

    Nano (1K–10K followers)

  • Per IG post: ₱500–₱2,000.
  • Per IG Reel: ₱1,000–₱4,000.
  • Per TikTok: ₱500–₱3,000.
  • Best for: niche, high-engagement, very specific audiences.

    Micro (10K–100K)

  • Per IG post: ₱2,000–₱10,000.
  • Per IG Reel: ₱4,000–₱20,000.
  • Per TikTok: ₱3,000–₱15,000.
  • Best for: most brand campaigns. Highest ROI in 2026.

    Mid (100K–500K)

  • Per IG post: ₱10,000–₱50,000.
  • Per IG Reel: ₱20,000–₱100,000.
  • Per TikTok: ₱15,000–₱75,000.
  • Best for: established brands with bigger budgets.

    Macro (500K+)

  • Per IG post: ₱50,000–₱500,000+.
  • Per IG Reel: ₱100,000–₱1M+.
  • Per TikTok: ₱75,000–₱500,000+.
  • Best for: brand campaigns, awareness pushes, major launches.

    Mega (5M+)

  • Custom contracts, often ₱500K–₱5M+ per piece.
  • Best for: brand-tier campaigns, premium positioning.

    Why micro wins

Across 100+ creator deals I've supervised:

  • Nano: high engagement (5–10% rates), tiny reach.
  • Micro: 3–6% engagement, decent reach. Best ROI.
  • Mid: 1.5–3% engagement, good reach. ROI depends on brand fit.
  • Macro: under 1.5% engagement typically. Vanity placement.
  • For most brands: 5 micro creators outperform 1 macro at the same budget.

    Vetting checklist

    Before paying any creator:

    1. Engagement rate

    (Likes + Comments) / Followers × 100 = engagement %.

    Healthy:

  • Nano: 5–10%.
  • Micro: 3–6%.
  • Mid: 1.5–3%.
  • Macro: 0.8–1.5%.
  • Below benchmarks = bot followers or burned audience. Skip.

    2. Audience demographics

Use HypeAuditor, Modash, or ask creator for IG Insights screenshots.

    Check:

  • Geography (PH vs international).
  • Age skew.
  • Gender split.
  • Authenticity score (HypeAuditor reports this).
  • 3. Past brand collaborations

Look at their tagged posts. Did past brands repeat?

If a creator has done 12 brand collabs but no repeat: they don't drive results.

    4. Content quality

Aesthetic fit, production value, voice match.

    5. Real audience

Watch Stories. Does anyone reply? Genuine engagement vs bots becomes obvious.

    Where to find creators

  • Direct search: hashtags relevant to your category.
  • Tools: Modash, HypeAuditor, Heepsy.
  • Agencies: BBDO Manila, Niche Manila, Cookies Brands.
  • Platforms: Insense, JoinBrands, BillaCoin (paid platform).
  • Referrals: ask current creators for recommendations.
  • Negotiation

    Don't open with product-only

In 2026 PH, creators expect cash + product. Pure product-only deals work only at nano tier with very specific niches.

    Ask for usage rights

Pay extra (typically 50–100% of base rate) for usage rights to repurpose content as paid ads (whitelisting).

    Specify deliverables

  • Number of pieces (e.g., 1 IG Reel + 3 IG Stories).
  • Duration content stays up (typically 30–90 days).
  • Platforms (IG only? IG + TikTok?).
  • Payment terms

50% upfront, 50% upon delivery is common. For first-time creators: full payment after first deliverable.

    Contract essentials

    A simple email contract:

    > SCOPE

    >

    > [Creator] will deliver:

    > - 1 Instagram Reel (30–60 sec)

    > - 3 Instagram Stories (1 day)

    > - 1 TikTok (15–60 sec)

    >

    > CONTENT

    >

    > Topic: [Brand/Product]

    > Brief reference: [link]

    > Posting window: [date range]

    >

    > COMPENSATION

    >

    > Cash: ₱8,000

    > Product: 1 [SKU] (retail value ₱1,500)

    >

    > USAGE RIGHTS

    >

    > [Brand] receives 90-day usage rights for paid ads on Meta and TikTok.

    >

    > EXCLUSIVITY

    >

    > [Creator] will not promote competing brands within 14 days of post date.

    >

    > APPROVAL

    >

    > [Brand] reviews drafts before posting; 1 round of revision included.

Get signed (electronic signature works) before paying.

    Briefing creators

Don't over-script. Filipinos respond to authenticity.

    Brief:

  • Brand background (1–2 sentences).
  • Product highlight (key benefit).
  • Tone (casual, hyped, educational).
  • Must-include (offer code, hashtag, mention).
  • Don't-do (avoid specific claims, don't compare to competitors).
  • Let creator's voice come through.

    Tracking results

    Each campaign:

  • Creator-specific promo code (CREATORNAME10).
  • UTM-tagged link.
  • Shopify referrer attribution.
  • Post-purchase survey ("How did you hear about us?").
  • Without tracking, you don't know which creator drove sales.

Whitelisting (running ads from creator's handle)

After organic post performs well, pay for usage rights and run paid ads from creator's handle.

Whitelisted ads outperform branded ads 40–80% in CTR.

See Meta Influencer Whitelisting for full setup.

    Common mistakes

    1. Paying only with product

Creators with real audiences don't bite. You'll get only nano-tier with no real impact.

    2. Hiring 1 macro instead of 5 micros

Vanity. Spread budget across micros for higher overall ROI.

    3. No usage rights

You pay for one IG post that disappears in 24 hours instead of 90 days of paid ad fuel.

    4. Same creators every quarter

    Audience overlap. Rotate.

    5. Not measuring

Without tracking codes, you can't tell which creator drove sales.

    Budget guidelines

    For a brand starting:

  • ₱20K test budget: 5–10 nano creators OR 1–2 micro creators.
  • ₱100K monthly: 8–15 micro creators rotated.
  • ₱500K monthly: 1–2 macro + 10 micro mix.
  • Mix tiers based on goals (awareness vs conversion).
